Mission
Our Vision:
We envision a Greater Jackson area where every public school provides high-quality education to all children.
Our Mission:
We hope to attain excellent schools in the Greater Jackson area by engaging and building the capacity of parents to advocate for and affect change in schools and school systems.
Our Work:
PPS - Greater Jackson teaches parents to act as education partners and organizes them to advocate on behalf of their children and all children. We work to ensure quality teaching and learning for all children through school reform initiatives. And we mobilize and engage the public in active support of public schools.
Our Beliefs:
Public schools do more than educate children. They measure a city’s pride. They reflect its sense of community. And they predict the social and economic well-being of the city’s future. For twenty years, Parents for Public Schools of Jackson has worked to keep our public schools strong, empower parents as leaders for positive change, and engage the community in supporting our public schools. We are here for you.
Join our work. For our city. For our children. For our future.
