From the Clarion Ledger: “The nonprofit group Parents for Public Schools (of Jackson) issued a call to action on Wednesday asking people for donoations to help the 249 students who were unable to pay the $40 annual maintenance fee for the MacBook Airs. These laptops are being used to promote digital learning and integrate technology into classrooms. As of Friday morning, the group had raised around $9,000 of the $10,000 it sought to help these students get their laptops.
